St. Fidelis School, Kheda Khush Khabar, Aligarh
St. Fidelis School takes its name and inspiration from Saint Fidelis of Sigmaringen, a 17th-century Capuchin friar known for his unwavering faith, commitment to justice, and dedication to education. Born Mark Rey in Germany in 1577, Fidelis initially pursued a career in law, even gaining renown for his advocacy for the poor. However, he felt a higher calling and joined the Capuchin Order, taking the name "Fidelis," meaning "faithful."
Fidelis dedicated his life to preaching and teaching, particularly in areas rife with religious conflict. He was known for his powerful sermons, his compassionate care for the sick and poor, and his courage in the face of opposition. Tragically, Fidelis was martyred in 1622 while ministering in Switzerland.
His legacy of faith, service, and perseverance serves as a guiding light for our school community. We strive to embody his values in our pursuit of academic excellence, moral development, and social responsibility. Just as Saint Fidelis brought light to those in darkness, we aim to empower our students to become beacons of knowledge, compassion, and hope in the world.
